MHI Players Handbook Preview Grant

Hello Backers,
Continuing with the Players Handbook previews, this time we have Grant Jefferson from MCB found in the Expansion Box.
AGENT GRANT JEFFERSON
"Wait just a second. It isn't like that. They would have gotten me too. If I left that hatch open, we would both be dead."
Backstory Grant Jeferson pretty much is the total package, intelligence, good looks, and skill. That is if you ask Grant. While it can't be denied that Grant is a capable individual, he could have easily been a successful lawyer but the underworld of monsters reared its ugly head and put Grant in its sights.

Gear Grant wears a suit of body armor specially tailor-fitted for him with the MCB seal on both shoulders lined with an extra layer of armor. , he carries an FN SCAR-H assault rifle for his preferred mid-long range engagements. Grant keeps a combat knife for close encounters which uses with extreme lethality.

Battle Tactics Whether it's vanity or tactics as to how Grant is outfitted is up for debate. An extra layer of protection under his tailored armor gives Grant a little more defense to keep him safe. His aviators provide immunity to blind allowing him to stay close by enemies while his teammates blind them with flash grenades. This puts Grant in the best position to get the kill.... and the credit. While Grant is a monster hunting legend in his head there is some merit to his capabilities;

MHI Players Handbook Preview Julie

Hello Backers,
Continuing with the Players Handbook previews, this time we have Julie Shackleford from MHI found in the Core box.
Julie Shackleford The Guardian
Personally, I'd found there were few misunderstandings that couldn't be cured with a sufficient quantity of silver delivered at a high enough velocity."
Backstory Julie Shackleford is the daughter of Raymond Shackleford IV and Susan. Julie is MHI’s business manager as well as second in command. MHI is in Julie's blood and she was initiated as a child. An “imaginary friend” named Mr. Trash Bags for any child would be something normal that they grow out of. However, her friend was not imaginary and instead turned out to be a Shoggoth with its own devious plan which is abandoned only to befriend Julie instead.

Gear Julie's primary weapon of choice is an accurized M14 rifle with a heavily modified Troy chassis. Her secondary sits on her right hip, a custom-made M1911A .45 semiautomatic pistol. It has a Baer slide and frame with a bobtail conversion, Heinie night sights, thin Alumagrips, and other modifications Julie also carries a field first aid kit, a flashbang grenade and is outfitted with custom MHI armor that is sleek form fitting allowing her to stay comfortable when waiting on that perfect shot down scope through with her specialized shooting glasses.
Battle Tactics Julie is best used engaging enemies from a distance, gaining a defensive bonus from attacks 6 or more is a testament to her sniping superiority and battlefield awareness while offensively the M21 has the longest range in the game. Enemies will attempt to overcome Julie by getting up close to melee range; her one time use items play a big role in keeping her or teammates alive. The flashbang is best used defensively to prevent Julie from being ambushed or saving a teammate who is in a bad situation.

MHI Players Handbook Explanation and Preview

Hello Backers,
We wanted to give you a preview of the Player's Handbooks that will come in every game box. First, we have to ask the question What is a Players Handbook? Not to be confused with the rulebook, which teaches you how to play. The player's Handbook will contain both background on the characters and teams, as well as gameplay tips and strategies to help out with your first few games and provide some insight on how they function. The Core and Expansion each will have their own player's handbook tailored to the contents within. Now with the explanation out of the way let's get to the preview.
Monster Hunter International the Squad
During the year 1895 people in Keene County, Alabama began to disappear. Raymond "Bubba" Shackleford formed a group to solve the problem, which turned out to be a vampire. After slaying the vampire by burning it at the stake, they hunted down the infected missing from town and slew them as well. Word spread of Shackleford's deeds, and towns began to hire him to take care of their own supernatural problems. In December 1895 he formed Bubba Shackleford's Professional Monster Killers.... For super fans of Monster Hunter International, this doesn't say anything new, and that is the point. We at Everything Epic Love the world that Larry created and wanted to keep it as is. For new fans or those wanting a concise refresher, each team will have a write-up telling important details, history, and some other tidbits. Each character will have a personal write-up entailing information on the character from the books, a Gear breakdown explaining what the character is equipped with and capable of in the game, and lastly battle tactics for tips on how to use the character in the game. . Let's check Out Earl Harbinger
Earl Harbinger King of the Werewolves
“I’ve been kicking monster ass longer than you’ve been alive. I’ve eaten men that would make you look like a pussy on your best day. I’m Earl Harbinger, motherfucker. And you damn well better not forget it.”
Backstory Earl Harbinger is the Director of Operations at Monster Hunter International and a member of the Shackleford Family. He leads MHI’s flagship team based in Cazador, Alabama, and oversees personnel matters such as transfers, promotions, training, and recruitment. Among the broader Monster Hunting community, Earl is considered to be one of the most experienced and well-respected Hunters alive.

Gear Earl has a custom Minotaur hide jacket. While it may look old and worn, it’s actually incredibly durable providing protection from all manner of monsters and humans. Earl's weapon of choice is Dual Thompson Machine Guns allowing him to potentially “Spray and Pray” on his attacks. Earl has been in so many firefights he can maintain his calm. Rerolling one of his attack dice allows Earl to be a little more consistent than your typical soldier. Earl doesn't go anywhere without his nicotine stick. While providing Earl some comfort it allows him to be targeted a little easier by enemies on the battlefield.
Battle Tactics Earl has the potential to be a true powerhouse on the battlefield. Looking at his signature ability and his high defense you may be tempted to run him in and take a bunch of attacks to transform right away. The downside to that is if the enemy swarms Earl and eliminates him, the werewolf won’t get a chance to see the battlefield. Using Earl almost as bait on the edge of his range to attack and stick to cover will allow him to stay on the battlefield and build his special up without being eliminated too quickly. Having Julie Heal Earl if he takes a little too much damage can sometimes be the best way to keep Earl around and enable his ultimate werewolf form
