MHI Players Handbook Preview: The Gargoyle

Hello Backers,
Continuing with the Players Handbook previews, this time we have the Gargoyle from the Undead Nightstalkers found in the expansion box.

The Gargoyle from the Church of St. Larry
A car goes flying across the street smashing into oncoming traffic. The Gargoyle opens its mouth to let loose a mighty roar and “................................” is heard. - Gargoyle
Backstory Gargoyles are a form of stone golem created with powerful magic spells. As a golem, A Gargoyle only obeys the orders of its creator. Since they’re “manufactured” by sorcerers, gargoyles can come in many shapes and varieties. You can sometimes see extra limbs or heads on gargoyles some larger or smaller. Due to the wide range of sizes and “varieties” of the gargoyle, their PUFF bounty varies widely.
Gear Gargoyles have talons on their hands and feet; they use them in combination with their massive wings to swoop down on their prey and claw it to death. The gargoyle's body is made up of living stone making it ridiculously heavy. When a gargoyle stays still it can be mistaken for a statue and is as resilient as the rock it's made of. The most and only real vulnerable places on a gargoyle’s body are its joints. They need and mostly lack the flexibility to move swiftly. The Gargoyle has a vice-like grip in its hands able to apply massive force to anything it grabs, and lastly a long tail that it can use as a weapon to whip any enemies approaching.
Battle Tactics The gargoyle can get around the battlefield deceptively well. Using its wings allows the gargoyle to leap long distances, scale terrain, go over enemy formations and combine that with divebomb and you have a brutal attack from above. Once near an enemy, Iron Grip doesn't allow them to leave this can be used to set up brutal attacks on an enemy figure with flanking allies. The gargoyle is slow, and wings can only be used once per turn making the gargoyle the slowest figure in the game yet one of the deadliest at the same time.

SUSAN SHACKLEFORD - Master Vampire

Backstory
Susan, Master Vampire and mother of Julie appears various times throughout the novels. Taunting her daughter and Owen by attempting to seduce him and claiming she will turn Julie. She manipulates Pitt again by using a fragment of the Kumaresh Yar to further awaken Pitt’s powers and turning him and MHI against Martin Hood (whom she rightly believed was powerful enough to control her).

Gear
Despite her relatively young age, Susan has attained master vampire status and powers quickly. She’s stronger, faster, and tougher than most, if not all vampires. Susan looks virtually the same as her daughter Julie, but is pale-skinned, with a beautiful face, and deep black hair, though her age and her evil vampire nature can be seen looking closely at her features and demeanor. As a master vampire, Susan can assume mist form, fly, and make her teeth grow into long needle-sharp fangs for puncturing throats and drinking blood. She can also form her fingers into razor-sharp daggers to rip apart foes, and with a glare, she can entrance and seduce the weak-minded.
Susan is capable of all of these feats and does so while wearing stylish clothing. All this is backed by her vampire regeneration and tough skin.
Battle Tactics
As a master vampire, she controls a team that serves her whims. Susan is the “fastest” character in the MHI Miniatures game, and the best way to utilize her is as a Stalker. Getting in, attacking, and getting out is the best way to keep her alive. Susan excels at melee, gaining a defensive bonus when attacked by another melee, and is able to dish out damage with claws, or possibly heal with bite. After attacking, Susan gains movement and if possible should move out of the Line of Sight of enemies. Susan can also seduce an enemy figure, making them unable to attack her on their next activation; this can be devastating defensively when their most powerful character is getting set up to attack Susan or Offensively by moving Susan right next to them while seduced.
