Today in addition to the Player Handbook preview on Owen Pitt, we want to show (and tell) some other stuff. First things first.
The first 48-hour backers will get extra dice. There was a weird glitch on the graphic when we launched and it wouldn't load properly, it was asked in the comments and if you missed the answer we are putting it here so those that wanted to know.
In the pledge manager, there will be extra dice available for add-ons in different colors. Below are the options we narrowed it down to, but and will cut it even more. If there is a specific color you like please leave a comment on which one. The colors with the most votes will be the ones to stay!
The rulebook is currently being edited and formatted to be laid out. We have a preview spread of the game modes to show you. While MHI is a skirmish game, the various game modes take the world of MHI into consideration and are thematic objective-based modes allowing options for how players want to play.
The feedback from backers has been overwhelmingly positive, we are hard at work implementing some of the suggestions, and testing out what will work to make the game more fun and thematic for players. We are so happy to bring this passion project to life and want to make it the best it can possibly be. We really do read every comment so if you haven't yet, what are you waiting for speak up!

Continuing with the Players Handbook previews, this time we have Owen Pitt of Monster Hunter International (MHI) found in the core box.
“The doctors had been impressed that I was even alive. When I had asked one of them approximately how much blood I had lost, he had responded wryly with "most of it.”
Owen Z. Pitt, decorated military veteran, was raised by his father to be a survivor. At a young age, he learned how to shoot, live off the land, and just survive. This was his childhood. Owen's father had ties into the world of Monster Hunting that he never disclosed to Owen as such, Owen took a different path as an adult. No longer wanting to embrace violence he pursued the most mundane profession. He had a full-time job, as an Accountant, until one day, his boss turned into a Werewolf and tried to murder him, but Owen murdered his boss first (something all working guys dream about) and from there, he was first threatened by the Monster Control Bureau and then recruited to Monster Hunter International.

Owen is outfitted with MHIs finest tactical gear, a thick layer of stab-proof Kevlar. A pair of heavily armored gauntlets perfect for brawling, a tactical helmet and... of course... peak physical condition on a massive frame makes Owen a truly exceptional human but most of all, a Monster Hunter.

Owen wants to get up close and personal. Using his big frame and strength against otherworldly creatures provides a huge advantage. Abomination, Ganga Ram Knife, and his reinforced gauntlets, all play into his up-close strategy. He has high health and can take a few hits as he puts himself in a position to deal massive damage.

Continuing with the Players Handbook previews, this time we have Koriniha from the Otherworldy Evils found in the core box.

The tribes that conquered your people thought of me as Hel. I am a thing of legend. To your mentor, the ghost, to his people I was Lilith. To the nation that carried them away into captivity I was Zaltu, daughter of Tiamat. Temples have been built in my honor across this world, all forgotten now. I am a false god in your pathetic mortal pantheon. You sad apes have made idols of me for ten thousand years.”
Koriniha is an ancient, evil being of great power who serves an Old One Neihor. It's theorized that Koriniha is older than the human race. As time has gone past she has been worshiped by many as a goddess. It is Koriniha’s purpose to bring the old to the Earth's dimension. Her means of accomplishing this feat is to harness the power of the Kumaresh Yar. Throughout history there have been “chosen ones” who have the power to tap into the Kumaresh Yar.

Gear Koriniha possesses vast mystic powers, from tapping into crystals of power, or telekinetically attacking heroes, to shapeshifting into different animals or even stealing souls. A vast command of Spells and magic in general make Koriniha a diverse threat. Koriniha’s chosen human form is that of a dark-skinned long black hair, her eyes a smoldering green. Majestically beautiful woman who usually wears exotic robes cut to display her attractive figure.

Koriniha is very unique, she is not overly powerful or tough in fact she is quite fragile in her human form. She is more like a battery providing power to her abilities and allies, how you use that power source will drastically affect the outcome. Be careful not to run out of juice too early . Koriniha can suffer damage to increase her attack, shapeshift to different creatures providing different bonuses for her allies, soul steal enemies or allies to possibly heal or gain permanent buffs.
